Olivia, a single mom facing a possible job loss, gets secretly entered into a Christmas mural contest by her mom. She reluctantly partners with Will, a teacher and the contest runner-up, who has had multiple conflicts with her. As they work on the mural together, they begin to support each other in various aspects of life, including art. Their connection deepens, raising the question of whether Olivia will take a chance with Will and deviate from her planned life in New York City.
