During World War II, a Japanese soldier named Hiroo Onoda is sent to the island of Lubang in the Philippines. Believing that the war is still ongoing and unaware of Japan's surrender, Onoda spends 10,000 nights in the jungle, surviving on limited resources and engaging in sporadic conflicts with the locals. It is not until 1974 that Onoda is finally persuaded to surrender by a young Japanese adventurer. This movie portrays the incredible true story of Onoda's endurance and perseverance.
