Normal (2003)

In the movie 'Normal', a transgender woman named Roy is faced with intolerance and workplace bullying in a small town. Roy's struggles are exacerbated by the ostracism of her preacher husband, their strained relationship, and the challenges of raising a family. As Roy battles against societal norms, she also grapples with her own gender identity and the impact it has on her Alzheimer's-stricken mother. The story culminates in a Thanksgiving dinner on their family farm, where domestic violence and secrets come to light.
