Susan Murphy is hit by a meteorite on her wedding day, causing her to grow into a giant. She is captured by the government and sent to a secret facility with other monsters. When an alien overlord tries to take over Earth, Susan and her monster friends are offered their freedom in exchange for defeating him. They successfully destroy the alien's robot and save the day. Susan realizes she is better off without her shallow fiancé and embraces her new self, abilities, and friends.
