A police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. Meanwhile, the ex-con's brother and his girlfriend execute a plan to steal a diamond and prove the ex-con's innocence. As the heist unfolds, the psychologist uncovers corruption within the police force. In the end, the ex-con is proven innocent, the diamond is recovered, and justice is served.
