Kong: Skull Island (2017)

After the Vietnam war, a team of scientists explores an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong and must fight to escape a primal Eden. In 1944, two fighter pilots parachute onto an island in the South Pacific during World War II and encounter Kong. In 1973, an expedition led by a tracker, a photojournalist, and a seismologist arrives at Skull Island but is attacked by Kong. As they try to escape, they encounter monsters and the truth about Kong's role as the island's guardian.
