Jitterbugs (1943) is a comedy musical film about a man named Joe and his mother who get involved in a double-feature film. Set during World War II, they face gas rationing, black market activities, deception, frustration, and desperation. When their jalopy breaks down, they disguise themselves as a carnival attraction. They encounter a gang leader and his gang members, a revolving door, a skeleton, and a fuel shortage. They even come across a donkey and participate in a scam. With the help of a singer and a con man, they manage to overcome their challenges and seek retribution and reprisal against those who have wronged them.
