An Indian-American teenager, Sam, faces cultural insecurities and a falling out with her friend Tamira. In a fit of anger, Sam breaks Tamira's jar, unknowingly releasing a powerful demonic entity. The entity kidnaps Tamira and begins targeting Sam, leading to the murder of her boyfriend and haunting visions. With the help of her parents and a supportive teacher, Sam must save Tamira and stop the terror of the demon.
