Stranded at a Nevada motel during a rain storm, ten strangers find themselves being killed off one by one. Meanwhile, a psychiatrist tries to persuade a judge to spare the life of a psychotic killer awaiting execution. As the group is dwindled down, it is revealed that the events at the motel are occurring inside the killer's mind due to his extreme case of Dissociative Identity Disorder. The psychiatrist must help one of the killer's personalities eliminate the homicidal personality to prevent their execution. However, the true homicidal personality orchestrates all the deaths and kills the last survivor before continuing their reign of terror.
