In Hangman's Knot, a group of outlaws led by a former Confederate soldier hijacks a stagecoach filled with gold. They take refuge in an abandoned outpost, with the cavalry and a vigilante justice group hot on their trail. The outlaws find themselves in a deadly standoff, where they must fight to survive and escape the noose of justice.
