Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (2007)

In the near-future, humanity is threatened by giant alien monsters called Angels. To combat this threat, a secret organization called NERV recruits young pilots to control giant robot weapons known as Evangelions. The protagonist, Shinji, reluctantly becomes a pilot and must face his own demons while battling the Angels and dealing with the complex relationships with his father and fellow pilots.
