When a high school student discovers a supernatural notebook that grants him the power to kill anyone whose name he writes in it, he becomes intoxicated with his newfound abilities and starts using the notebook to rid the world of criminals. However, his actions soon come to the attention of a brilliant detective who is determined to stop him at any cost.
