Cyrano de Bergerac is a French nobleman with a large nose who is skilled in swordfighting and poetry. He is in love with his cousin Roxane but believes she could never love him because of his unattractive appearance. Instead, he helps a handsome soldier named Christian woo Roxane using Cyrano's own poetic words. Cyrano sacrifices his own happiness for the sake of Roxane's love, leading to a tragic love triangle.
