In Crossworlds, a man named Joe enters a parallel world in order to save a woman named Laura, whom he has fallen in love with. In this parallel world, Joe must navigate through various challenges and obstacles, including a mission, a car crash, a desert, and a ritual. Along the way, he encounters a fight, a charm, a shootout, and a history museum. Joe also faces false accusations and must find a scepter. Throughout his journey, he encounters crows, a short man, and a broken nose. The story begins with text and includes a dance party, drinking beer from a can, and the disappearance of Laura. Joe encounters a raven, gets thrown through the air, and witnesses an upskirt incident. He also encounters welding, a hit team, and a pendant. Joe meets a sculptor and encounters an Airstream trailer, a dagger, and an animate suit of armor. The story includes scenes of falling into the ocean, finding a hidden car key, and facing the wind. Martial arts and being tied to a chair play a significant role in Joe's journey, as well as running for his life. The story begins with a voice-over narration by a character.
