A team of soldiers, led by the orphan army captain Vetriselvan, embarks on a perilous mission to investigate a forbidden forest area where previous teams have mysteriously died. They encounter an unknown creature called the Minotaur, which attacks them and leaves them unconscious. Vetri discovers that his team members are injured or dead, and he refuses to blame Karthi for the failed operation, resulting in a black mark on his own character. He is then punished with a training position. However, when Dr. Keerthi, a scientist working on the Minotaur project, selects Vetri's team for a new mission, they must face the dangerous creatures once again. With the help of Keerthi, Vetri realizes that the Minotaurs are sensitive to morphine and plans to kill the huge Minotaur without her knowledge. In the end, the team succeeds in their mission, but Vetri discovers the ulterior motives of Dr. Keerthi and a rich benefactor named Vikram. The army shuts down the forbidden area, Vetri is reinstated, and Karthi is given a military funeral. However, in a post-credits scene, it is revealed that a new race of Minotaurs is awakening underwater, implying their return.
