The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf. In Boston, 1975, Whitey works as a bouncer and forms his gang. He becomes an FBI informant to take down the Angiulo crime family. Whitey rises in power and is involved in embezzlement and murder. As his power grows, he evades police capture for years until his arrest in 2011.
