Austeria (1982)

Austeria is an autobiographical film set in the year 1914, in a Polish village on the verge of the First World War. The story follows the fate of a group of people seeking refuge in an inn while trying to escape the approaching war. As tensions rise, relationships are tested, and sacrifices are made, the village turns into a chaotic and violent place. The film explores themes of religion, tradition, and the consequences of war.
