Four high-school teachers, Martin, Tommy, Peter, and Nikolaj, decide to consume alcohol on a daily basis as an experiment to see how it affects their social and professional lives. Initially skeptical, the group gradually finds their lives more enjoyable and their creativity enhanced. However, as they push the limits and engage in binge drinking, their experiment takes a dark turn. Martin's marriage crumbles, Tommy becomes an alcoholic and ultimately dies, leaving the remaining three to confront their own demons. Months later, Martin finds a glimmer of hope in his failing marriage and embraces the joy of life by joining a celebration by the harbor, culminating in a moment of exhilarating freedom as he jumps into the ocean.
