Set in Alabama in the year 1880, 'Another Part of the Forest' explores the themes of prejudice, lies, and family relationships. The story unfolds in the aftermath of the Civil War, during the time of Southern Reconstruction. The March and Eldridge families, who belong to the privileged class, navigate their complicated dynamics and dark family secrets. Prejudices, greed, jealousy, and the presence of the Ku Klux Klan add to the already tense atmosphere. As the plot progresses, the characters' relationships, including mother-daughter, husband-wife, father-son, and brother-sister, get tangled in a web of deceit and betrayal. The story is based on a stage play and offers a glimpse into the Victorian era.
