Agora (2009)

Agora is set in the 4th century AD, during a time of religious and cultural decline in the Roman Empire. It follows the story of Hypatia, a philosopher and astronomer in Alexandria, as she faces persecution for her intellectual pursuits and clashes with the rising tide of Christian fundamentalism.
