A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)

In a future where coastal cities are flooded due to global warming, a company called Cybertronics creates a mecha boy named David. He is adopted by a couple whose son is in cryostasis. At first, David's relationship with his human mother is rocky, but they eventually bond. However, when the real son returns, David becomes jealous and his actions lead to his abandonment. Determined to become a real boy, David embarks on a journey to find the mythical Blue Fairy. After thousands of years, he is discovered by future mechas who fulfill his wish by bringing back his mother, but only for a day.
