A Distant Trumpet (1964)

Set in the late 1880s, A Distant Trumpet tells the story of an army scout who is torn between personal feuds and duty to the US cavalry. As tensions rise along the Arizona border region with Mexico, the scout becomes involved in a truce negotiation with a tribal chief, risking his life and facing duplicity from his own comrades.
