Trolls is an animated adventure comedy that follows the story of a group of cheerful trolls as they embark on a musical journey to save their friends who have been captured by the gloomy and pessimistic Bergens. In Trolls World Tour, Poppy and Branch discover that there are six different troll tribes, each devoted to a different kind of music genre. When a member of hard-rock royalty tries to destroy all other music, Poppy and Branch must unite the trolls and save the diverse melodies of their world.

Poppy discovers that Branch was once part of a boy band called BroZone with his brothers. When one of their brothers is kidnapped, Poppy and Branch set out on a journey to reunite the band and rescue their friend from the clutches of two wannabe pop stars. Along the way, they encounter hidden troll colonies and confront their own egos to save their family.
