In the movie 2.0, a cell phone scientist named Vaseegaran creates a robot named Chitti to fight against a dangerous bird-like humanoid named Pakshi Rajan. As Pakshi Rajan wreaks havoc in the city, Chitti must use his powers and abilities to prevent further destruction.

In the year 2030s, a scientist creates an android robot named Chitti, who has the ability to understand and think like a human. Chitti becomes a superhero and fights against evil forces to protect the people. However, he soon faces a romantic rivalry and a love triangle, which complicates his mission. Meanwhile, a local blockbuster mosquito robot, created as a measure to control the mosquito population, goes rogue and becomes an evil robot. Chitti must now save the city from this science-gone-wrong situation.
