Frank Drebin, retired police officer, is asked by his old friends to help infiltrate a gang of terrorists planning to bomb the Academy Awards. As he goes undercover with Rocco Dillon, a prisoner, he must navigate his complicated personal life and save his wife from being held hostage by Rocco and his mother. On the night of the awards, Frank and his wife race against time to find and disarm the bomb, ultimately saving the day and reaffirming their love.
