In this sequel to the iconic comedy Airplane!, a group of passengers and crew set off on a space shuttle to the moon, but soon find themselves in a series of absurd and dangerous situations. From bomb-planting to spoofing space travel, the chaos and laughter never stop.

Ex-fighter pilot Ted Striker is a traumatized war veteran turned taxi driver. He overcomes his fear of flying to regain the love of his ex-girlfriend, stewardess Elaine Dickinson. On their flight, the crew and passengers fall sick from food poisoning, leaving no one to fly the airplane except for Ted. With the help of Captain Rex Kramer, Ted must overcome his trauma and safely land the plane despite challenges like engine damage and a thunderstorm. Ted succeeds and reunites with Elaine.
